who i am:

My name is Harry Vuarrier-Lewis, and I’m a 20 year old writer from East London.

I started writing books and poems at 14. I read and write everyday of my life and don’t plan on stopping.

My latest piece is my second novel “Good Rogues : Descent Into Anarchy.”

psst, click the pictures too

“Descent Into Anarchy” is the second part of my sci-fi western trilogy, and follows from my first book “Good Rogues” from 2024.

The second part of the trilogy is a far more psychological test for One and Rudock’s characters, with every aspect of their identities being challenged throughout the story.

One battles with the morality of being a wanted outlaw, while dealing with an identify crisis, therefore subverting the norms of a traditional anti-hero gunslinger. While having a trademark western sheen, the second part of “Good Rogues” explores the humanity of a gang forced to go on the run from the law.

My newest poem is called “I Saw The New One Today”

The cover used for this poem is an image of the character of Nolan from the Invincible series, a great sci-fi inspiration for me.

The moment depicted in the cover is when Nolan repents in prison, he comes to a realization that changes his character arc.

While Nolan has been a completely irredeemable character for most of the story, mercilessly and brutally killing millions, the cracks in his Imperialist Viltrumite exterior begin to show.

These cracks start in the prologue episode of the animated series. He resists the urge to kill his own family when his young son, Mark, does not show his father’s inherited powers needed for world domination.

After he is defeated and sent to prison, he comes to the realization that he misses his wife, whom he has relegated to a pet.

Despite his cold and brutal exterior, Nolan has a slice of warmth in his heart of ice.

Now, what does this mean for my poem?

I will leave it up to you to decipher that.

In my poetry I’m speaking from my perspective. But the meaning can differ depending on the reader. There are no wrong answers. Of course, all poetry should be open to interpretation.

I love writing to the point where I can’t even describe it.
